What teams are changing? I heard some new renegades live in the valley. Seems like a
long drive. What's happening on that Richmond island? Keeping the "heat"ers or are they going back to the delta? Fusion looking for players and
more!!!? Pride/Fusion mix? Anyone having a devil of a time riding the ferries? and this is just the 94's.

Seems like every Sept. we start the who's going to WR 94 conversation, bottom 3 or 4 are cut lose and 3 or 4 of the best in the province

If all of the talent is coached by other programs.....why do they go to the Renegades...is the grass greener there? Do they get cash to play or is it that
there seems to be no club with stability?? Didn't Islanders linch the coach prior to Provincials, inhouse BS breaking up Pride's teams, no coach for
Fusion, why would one stay in that kind of enviroment. Players go to clubs where they can get playing time, coaching and be in the right mix of teammates.

your first question is one I've never been able to answer - i'm wondering why you didn't answer any of my questions.
Every new parent defends the move to White Rock and every banished parent has a story. My question is very simple why doesn't WR, given that they seem to get all the cream, dominate at this level. |

Wooley, i thought your daughter was at Delta, has she moved to the Rens? I thought delta was a reliable group. There must be spots at WR because girls that
"transfered" a couple years ago are now quiting.

The gades always get bad press over this one. Get over it, players move around in all the associations, looking for more playing time or more development etc. |

Just answer the questions - is the player development happening before or after they get to WR - If there is a big increase in skill
level on this team why replace 4 kids every year, or does this team depend only on the new players to raise the level of play. Consider this - bottom 4 players leave every year, by picking up 4 new kids existing players are now the bottom of the pack and due to be replaced next year, with 8 players gone in 2 seasons and four new ones comming every year the only players leaving are the ones that didn't increase thier skill level while with the team for 2 years. |

Most teams will replace up to four bottom players a year depending on the numbers/quality of players at tryouts.

m13cn my kid is not a Renegade and I think the only changes in the Ren camp is one left for more playing time and not getting along with the H/C and the other
is not a A player.
To answer you ong, some are in the raw talent stage and some are proven players. I see them going to the Ren for the coaching and the organization itself. I don't think other clubs support the athletes as good as the Ren espcially the older they get. Some may think that their best shot at a scholarship is the exposure the Renegades give them. Here is a question......we seem to love to hate the Ren and taking players but how many teams make no changes?? Do the teams only make changes because of the Renegades?? I think not. I think maybe Vic 94 is truly one of the only team to have more than 10 kids from the original squirt year. |

wooley - I think they have picked up JW and her catcher from Fusion and a stormy kid. Can't really compare Devils
lack of recruiting with the mainland teams, build us a bridge and look out.(not) |

WOW, all this chat about girls softball in September. with so many still licking their collective wounds from Provincals or Nationals.
The grass does sometimes look greener on the otherside of the fence but in reality most girls would much rather play with girls that they are friends with
than go to the unknown of a new team. Players change teams for different reasons of which I am not privy. Some changes like Fusion 94 did shake the association
to the bone and players jump, what they percieve as a sinking ship, only to see them survive.

with all the girls talking on facebook etc. it would seem they know exactly
whats going on and who's going where - good to see slick jumping in and some new faces - all the tryouts are complete except here. We've had some 93 mainland kids calling about trying out for the older team, 92's had 1 last year. how long before this is as common as kids going to WR Best team over the last 3 years Devils 94, why no interest? |

Too far to travel ong or if your team was here I think you would be picking up kids like crazy.
I think what clubs are running in to is lack of coaches.....do the associations really try to develop new coaches?? Parent groups tend to eat up coaches thus no many want to step into the bear pit! Good to see good bantering back in forth in September!! Pre season picks anyone!! lol I think the Islanders are tops forsure as I predicted!! |

ONG, a little surprised with the JW initials. Not like a wily veteran to be putting names out on this site. Stopped by a Ren 94 practice the other day to check
out the new players. Let me say that I was taken back by the new blood. Seems 3 new players from Fusion 94 team of last year have been chosen by the new head
coach as well as a girl from Storm 94. Seems the center fielder from Ren 94 went to Storm and their girl came over to Ren. From what I saw the new coach has a
lot of work in front of him bring his new additions into Ren organization thinking and playing. Techniques etc. I understand he took the team to Seattle this
weekend for a tournament to see what he has and what needs to be done over the winter. wooley bully v, I heard some rumblings from your beloved Devils camp.
What's up with that?

Slick, what can I say maybe you should of stayed longer. The talk around the league is that the Rens are all fired up by their new additions especially the
tall dark haired pitcher who we are not allowed to name. Did you hear what the outcome of the states tourny was?
